Research
field
I
am exploring upconversion materials. Upconversion luminescence
is the emission of high frequency radiation from a system
excited with radiation of a lower frequency. It is a common
phenomenon among the lanthanides but it is rare in transition
metal systems. Therefore the search for new d-metall
upconversion materials and their spectroscopic characterization
provides a challenging task for my PhD thesis.
